Anytime we feel anything less than peace, love, or joy we have disconnected from our truth and our heart center. We can quickly get back into our heart at any moment we choose. Thankfully, there are many ways we can do that. Here are a few:
Hand to Heart
Bring a hand to your heart, wherever it natural wants to rest. This is sometimes known as the high heart, or heart chakra.
After bringing your hand to your heart, close your eyes if it feels safe to do so, and take in a breath and exhale. Good. Do this several times drawing in cleansing air and releasing. Add a release with sound for deeper surrender into the practice. Smile!
Drink Water and Lemon
Drinking water is simple and one of the fastest ways to balance yourself and get a pick me up. Pure water is best. Add a squeeze of organic lemon to cleanse, alkalize, and boost your systems.
Spend 5 minutes Sitting
Sit and do nothing. Sometimes this is called meditation. Sit, allow your eyes to close, or half close softly. Become aware of your breath. Each time your attention strays from your breath, simply notice without judgement and bring yourself back to the breath. Also, focusing on a beautiful vista, image, or focal point can feel wonderful. At the end stand up and stretch out all your limbs, forming a star with arms out and extended, legs stretched out and strong, head straight and aligned. Breathe deeply! Don't forget a smile!
Hug a Tree
Tree hugging is for everyone! Being near a tree, sitting with your back against it, leaning on a tree, or stroking some low hanging bows, is very nourishing. You come back into balance, you receive oxygen and an ionic blast that helps rebalance the systems. Find a tree that seems to call you and be with it for only a few moments to experience a lift.
Stand Up and Dance
Do a little twirl, a jig, jumping jacks. Even if you don't feel like it! Bring that smile to your face. This will all quickly shift your energy into a place where you have perspective, a bit of joy, and connection with your body and spirit.
Reframing How We Let Go. Learning to Breathe Freedom.
When Letting Go feels hard. For me it was the hardest, back in 2014 I was in the thick of things, transitions in my life were mounting, I was working to create my life the way I dreamed it being, and I was being asked to let go. I was letting go of habits, fears and blocks, old beliefs, old programming, old clothes, old ideas, attachments, judgments….
This all was working really beautifully, yet here I was having a total tantrum about the words ‘letting go’.
This happened as I was transitioning out of a deep partnership and relationship with a man I loved. This spun out all my grandest fears, and deepest held pains like webs that linked together the most deep fissures and stored anguish and grief in my being.
It was not something my physical, mental, or emotional bodies were wanting. They were having a full blown lay on the floor screaming fit. I did not want to 'let go'. I was letting go for generations of ancestors, for everything in my life I hadn't dared to let go of before, it was a huge interwoven tapestry of letting go.
My heart and soul knew that I was on the right course, but the rest of me needed some sort of soothing reprieve from the waves of pain this feeling of letting go stirred up.
It came to me in one of those cosmic download moments. I was writing and asking for support with this letting go. “Let go of ‘letting go’. ” The words floated to me from the quiet spaces where our wisdom resides.
I have come to understand part of the struggle with this concept reaches back into childhood when were told to just ‘let go’ of an injustice we felt, or when we were really feeling sad, upset, angry, or fearful. As if it were that simple. It was one of those phrases that actually meant “don’t feel, don’t acknowledge, don’t allow”.
‘Letting go’ can leave us feeling that there is a separation which is painful for our emotional and mental selves. It calls forward a sort of finality that is truly uncomfortable, and at the same time does not honor our real feelings.
Let go, release, surrender. These are all useful, yet they have overlays of meanings. Letting go can feel like a final good bye, or a non-permission to really feel what we are feeling.
When I accessed that space of wisdom I learned we can shift this and instead of letting go, we can breathe freedom. We can allow.
The idea of breathing myself to freedom and breathing this beloved partner to his freedom was what allowed me to turn a corner. It no longer felt like some termination or separation from myself or my experience. I was able to allow. When I felt the pain of the separation I would allow that feeling to come and then breathe freedom to the feeling and to each of us.
I found this can be applied to anything we are seeking move through in our lives. Breath freedom.
There is nothing wrong with the concepts of letting go, releasing, or surrendering. They are beautiful and part of our path towards inner peace and harmony with the world. However, if the words themselves bring up feelings of loss, we can reframe by choosing to allow, to free, and to breathe. From here we have the sense of safety knowing we are all always connected, maybe just flying along a different course right now towards what is needed for each individual soul's path in the discovery of true peace, love, and joy.
The real key is to be in absolute TRUST. If you are not in absolute Trust with the Truth of your heart and soul you may be finding frustration with your manifestations.
To come into greater Trust realize the truth is that you are always manifesting. The question is "what are you manifesting?" Chaos, fear, mishaps? Or an abundance of love and peace that supports you in your life?
Realizing that you are a master manifestor of all experiences, conscious or unconsciously, increases the awareness and trust in yourself to begin intentionally manifesting. It may feel uncomfortable to recognize this at first. This is okay. I invite you to put a hand to heart and breathe if you feel any discomfort.
Aligning with the Trust of your True Beingness, your Spirit Being in human form, will bring you into manifestation of what you truly desire.
To be in Trust and manifest ability you must strengthen your passion (sincere love) for yourself; focus on your sacred heart-centered intentions; come from deep sincerity and presence in your wish to manifest from within yourself (rather than needing it to manifest from the outside world); and to anchor the truth and realization that you are an abundant being living a life in form!
It takes sincerity, presence, practices, and love to get here. But you will cultivate greater and greater Trust in your true Authentic Self. Manifestation of your true desires will come through in this way!
Cultivating Trust from within is the key of your ability to co-create and manifest consciously what you wish in your life.
One beautiful way to start cultivating your Trust is the following mantra. Say when feeling confusion or worry, or when you are ready to call forward your intentions for manifestation:
"In this moment I Trust myself, and I tell myself the Truth" Say this with a deep breath and a hand to heart. Say it out loud and really feel it. Listen to the Truth of your Being that responds with powerful messages and insights.
Being in Joy is our natural and harmonious state. True Joy is different than the transient joy that comes from momentary fulfillment of our ego's (personality self) desires. True Joy is when we connect and align with our Authentic Self, the 'higher' self, our Truth.
When we are operating from a place that is connected to our True Being we are able to stay in a blissful state of connection and joy, where we learn to return to again and again when we are destabilized by the conflicting emotions, chaos, and drama that are evident in our world. With increased strengthening of our Trust in our Inner and Authentic Self the chaos and outer world dramas diminish in their impact upon us, and we more easily remain in a state of Joy and Harmony.
Begin cultivating more Joy in your life today!
The key to Joy is aligning with your Authenticity, versus with what the ego (personality/mind self) wants. When we are true to ourselves we find greater and lasting happiness. Here we find Peace and Love- key ingredients in Joy!
Here are some ways you can align with and call in Joy!
Please comment on what brings you true Joy in the blog comments section- there are no wrong answers- and you may inspire yourself and someone else!
~ Gaze upon a photo of yourself as a young child, or perhaps draw a picture of your child self. Take the image and spend time noticing and seeing the young child. What did you look like, notice the innocence and beauty. You still are this young child. Ask yourself if you have been tender with yourself? Loving of yourself? Ask how you can serve this young child within? Journal for a bit on this if you feel safe to do so. Then after spending some time with this reflection ask your child self what you would like to do with her or him to bring joy into this day? What does your child love to do?! Children have a way of being in complete ecstatic joy in the moment, embrace what your child tells you and do it! You may surprise yourself.
~ Get out some colorful crayons, markers, paints, paper, glitter sticks, beads, string, or whatever is speaking. Just take a time out to do nothing but create for 30 minutes. You may not want to stop!
~ Connect with young children. Children teach us how to be in pure radiant joy. You may simply observe them at play, or spend time with your own children or others. Carry the intention to be completely present to the play, with no distractions from phones, computers, other adults, thoughts about the day or worries about the future. The goal is to stay in the NOW moment.
~ Complete the following sentence stem. Sentence stems are a great way to engage our inner knowing and our authentic heart center. Simply write the sentence stem on the top of a sheet of paper and fill in the blank. Do this as many times until you feel complete with the exercise.
A way now allow Joy into my life is______________________________________.
and then perhaps I know I am ready to claim Joy because____________________________.
~ Set a timer for a preset amount of time 30, 45, 60 minutes or dedicate an entire afternoon. Or start at 5 or 10 minutes if that is what you have. Don't watch the timer, don't look at any clocks. Hold the intention to stay present to your desires and wants in this FREE space. Allow yourself to be guided to activities and things you would truly like to do, that aren't work or guided by things you feel you 'should' be doing. You may move from one activity to another, move in and outside, whatever your heart calls to do in the name of free form play and engagement with yourself and world. Notice when the mind resists and wants to wander or interject. Smile when you catch the mind, say Thank You, and then re-immerse yourself in your free space.
~Gratitude. Being grateful is a sure way to cultivate more Joy! Create a gratitude journal, or spend some conscious time saying thank you for all you have. Bring gratitude into your days. The momentum gratitude brings lifts us into our Joy.
A key to staying in the flow, and not getting sucked up by intensity and perceived chaos around us is to learn to stay more centered in our hearts.
Our heart is the center of our being. Ancient and modern scholars and traditions around the world reference the heart as the gateway to healing and as the center of our Authenticity. In research examples can be found for the power of our heart, like the Institute for Heartmath that has documented research showing the field the heart emits and how it is much larger than that of your brain, as well as how it changes and interacts with others fields based on emotions, thoughts, the environment, etc. Our brain can try to think ourselves out of trouble, or keep us stuck in a loop of fear or pain. Our brain is where our ego, or personality self, likes to inhabit.
Our heart goes beyond the ego and our perceived sense of self our ego provides for us. Our heart is connected to our True Essence. This is a place where we can live in our authenticity and trust. This is the place where we know all is truly well, even if around us the world seems to be going crazy. Our heart provides information and intuition and helps pump our joy throughout the rest of our body.
Thriving with Intensity
To thrive when life gets intense due to personal challenges, relationship stresses, family blips or chaos, or when the whole global community feels like it is falling apart, can feel very daunting. If we think about all that is going wrong, we actually keep ourselves in doubt and fear, or anger or blame. These emotions keep us from connecting with our heart.
To thrive when things feel crazy we must release the hold and magnetism that is charged around an event or situation. Then we must reconnect with our heart and anchor there. EFT, journaling, dancing, and meditating are just some of the ways we can help release. But we must also come back to our heart to lift us.
This is the heart of Self-Ascension practices. Self-Ascension is the term for coming back into alignment with your heart and lifting up from fear-based experiences into our Truth and Authenticity. We move from fear, anger, shame, guilty, confusion to Unconditional Love, Peace, and Joy. It is a process and practice. But we all know how to do this! Sometimes we just have to remember how.
Heart Centered Breathing
A most simple and profound practice
One of the most easy and simple ways to get out of your head and reconnect with your heart is to bring a hand to your heart. Take in a breath and release with sound. Do this several times.
Bringing your hand to heart sends a powerful signal to your body that you are safe and brings you into the heart. It will call you back from your mind and anchor you in your Truth.
Breathe. Release. Connect.
Keep following my blog, my facebook, and website to continue to learn practices to help you stay in your heart space so you can flow with the changes that come forward in life more easily.
I have been asked many times: "What do you do?" in relation to my work. So many answers and ways to look at this! I don't feel I DO so much as I teach, educate, facilitate, nourish, and support others to heal, feel more whole, and live more satisfying and joy-filled lives. I do this through one-on-one consultations, workshops and teaching, small group retreats, and writing. I also do birth work as a Birth Doula which is very rewarding. To explain all this a bit more I have written this piece about CAM medicine, Energy work, Ancient Traditions, and other integrative work that I facilitate on behalf of clients and the people in my life, along with my perspective on how this comes through my work.
Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM)
Many people are becoming more familiar with holistic medicine, botanical medicine, traditional healing, massage, acupuncture, and other alternative or complementary forms of treatments and therapies. CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine) is the official term that covers medicine that is non-allopathic, meaning non-conventional medicine. In 2007 nearly 40% of adults in America had used some form of CAM (NIH). Most of the rest of the world relies on using forms of CAM in prevention and treatments.
As a CAM practitioner I apply an Integrative approach to healing and for living from the heart to assist you on your own personal pathway in this life's journey. What is my integrative approach? A blend of energy work, medical intuitive work, ancient healing techniques, botanical and nature immersion, and some other integrative modalities. This palette allows me to serve people that have a variety of symptoms from physical, to mental, emotional, and spirit.
Energy work has now gained greater and greater acceptance and validity. It is very prevalent in particular 'hot spots' around the United States and the world and has been trickling into the main stream. It is an ancient knowledge that has been used for thousands of years and has been called by different names and used in a variety of ways. In the west we forgot many of these traditional ways of healing, which is why I believe so many people are resonating with it again as they search for ways to heal, for support, and to grow on all levels of their Being.
Energy work involves working with the core energetic underpinnings of our framework. Our body, our emotions, our thoughts, and our spirit are emitting a field of energy while receiving information from other energy fields. We also have channels of energy sometimes called meridians which run information. Energy really is information that vibrates through our being and interacts within our mind, body, and spirit as well as with the rest of the world. It isn't just people either: plants, animals, crystals, minerals, our planet, and everywhere in between are vibrating and communicating. The Ancient Greeks and scientists until just a hundred years ago or so called this Ether. Ancient traditions from the east and all the world around recognize and work with the energy that is underpinning the framework of existence. Energy work can be acupuncture, eft tapping, crystals and tones, meditations, and other forms of healing that help release sticky points in the energy fields of individuals while strengthening them. Everything is energy, so even allopathic and modern western medicine are working energetically, they just tend to work on the physical layers as their first focus.
We are all thrumming along! There is more validity and 'scientific evidence' for this energy and measurable data for how our bodies: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual are energy, use energy, transmit energy, etc. Work in cognitive psychology, quantum physics, energy psychology, biology, chemistry, and more are demonstrating that we are indeed energy and that a variety of CAM modalities can assist with rebuilding, 'rewiring', and releasing that which does not serve. The HeartMath Institue, the work of Gregg Braden, Deepak Chopra, Donna Eden, Bruce Lipton, Gary Craig, and many others are bridging science with spirituality and energy work. It is wonderful to see more and more evidence for the work I do. What speaks even more strongly are individual testimonials and results! Eventually, even the most skeptical, can start to see the results in their own lives if they begin to do this type of work with an open enough mind. I always ask, 'what is the harm in just trying it out?'
My way of working with energy integrates nature, foods, ancient traditions from the mayan, ascended masters, and eastern traditions with modern and current practices for shifting, releasing, and rewiring energetic patterns to improve the conditions or symptoms a client is working with. This is on all levels: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. The symptoms could be a hurt back, headaches, emotional trauma, or desire for greater connection to spirit as some examples of what people may come in for. The overall energetic vibration and blueprint can be assisted when we work to release sticky points in our channels and fields that are holding energy and increase the flow to bring us back into balance. I do this through Medical Intuitive scans, reading the energy, and through balancings, self-ascension work, avesa practices, foods, botanicals, and other forms of healing arts. It is all individual to each client and their needs.
My work is also deeply tied to Avesa Practices and Ancient Wisdom merged with Modern science and knowledge. You can read more about Avesa at my website. Avesa involves working on all levels of the mind, body, spirit connection. I am an Avesa PracitionerTM that uses the Avesa Medical IntuitiveTM model and Self-Ascensions Practices and Energetic Balancings to support clients to align with their own energetic patterns of balance and to heal.
This is energetic work, quantum healing, and ancient wisdom combined. It helps us arrive in our own Self-Ascended State, which is our harmonious and balanced energetic state where we live more completely in resonance with our Authentic Self. This work assists us to develop our own inner-understanding, intuition, heal old wounds, feel better physically and mentally, and connect to our own heart with greater clarity.
This work can help sooth physical discomforts and diseases while assisting the energy in the body to shift towards a more healing state. This work can also help relieve anxiety, stress, and other mind and emotional traumas or challenges. Also, some people come to access their greater intuition and develop more self trust and get more deeply in touch with their Authentic Selves.
This type of work does not apply a bandaid to cover up symptoms. It helps root out causes and heal them. It can assist with challenges from back aches, to candida flare ups, gut health, diseases and illnesses. It can support and help heal mental blocks and emotional patterns. Trauma from past hurts can be released and healed. It can provide relationship support and assistance. I can also help sincere seekers get more in touch with their own realms and relationship to inner spirit and vitality. This work addresses many levels of care and support.
What happens at the one-one-one level at appointments
When I meet with clients one-on-one, I perform energetic scans where I can identify where in the body particular energies are ready to be released and determine how to assist this. The scan determines what energetic underpinnings are at play to allow symptoms to persist- whether these are of the mind, body, and/or spirit.
Appointments will help assist the client to come into greater balance so healing can commence.
I apply a variety of energy practices for release and restoration, as well as combine nutritional guidance, support, assistance with selecting other care providers if necessary, energetic balancings, and integrative therapies. I TEACH clients how to create a more harmonious state in their lives. There is self- empowerment involved in this work!
Appointments will include a Medical Intuitive Scan in relationship to your goals for our time together. Sessions can also incorporate nutritional guidance, muscle testing, EFT tapping, Egyptian Healing Rods, Avesa Balancings, crystal healing, Self-Ascension and Energetic Release and Building practices, Herbal and Botanical support, and more. One session can bring relief and assist your healing journey. However, it is good to do a series of appointments. I have some packages available and am developing some more intensive packages to revealed soon. Check out my website IntegratedHealingPathways.com for more info.
Some of the other things I 'do'.
Birth Work! I help clients resolve past traumatic birthing experiences when bringing a child into the world. I help clients vision and energetically work on their birth plans. I also am available as a Birth Doula in the local area to assist and support families as they prepare for birth, during birth, and after.
I also offer Ascended Numerology readings, Cosmic Life Regressions, Atlantean Healing Chambers and other deep HEALING modalities at my office. These are forms of ancient healing that have been available on the planet before, kept by sacred ancient lineages, and now are once again available to the seeker that wishes to dive deep and resolve deep challenges they have faced. These are Amazing and WOW. Ready to really gain insight and deep healing? Check these out at my site or call for a chat.
I also have been studying Botanical and Plant Medicine, working on a Master's in Herbalism, Nature Immersion Therapies, Nutritional Support, EFT, Writing Therapy, and Planetary Healing.
Energy work, Avesa and other integrated modalities and methods discussed are incorporated in appointments, at workshops, and soon to be part of an e-book series I am working on.
Healing is a Journey
The healing that can happen in our lives now is GREAT and we can move things fast. This is why I LOVE energy work. It taps into our framework, releases congestions, and builds new connections. It helps us become more empowered as our own healers and puts our control and authority for healing into our own hands. Energy work is not really all that mystical or 'out there'. It is quite practical and very extraordinary.
Healing and the work I do: I believe that I facilitate and that I assist the healer in each client to come forward and work with the energies present for healing. I do not DO the healing. I am trained, energetically attuned, and guided to assist in the healing for the highest good for each client. Compassion and Confidentiality are the basis on all my work.
